Teflon pipe is a special type of pipe made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, commonly known as Teflon or plastic king) material after extrusion and sintering, followed by drying, high-temperature sintering, and shaping processes.
Application of Teflon Pipe:
1. Teflon tube made of semi transparent granular material, injection molding, extrusion molding. The molding temperature is above 350-400 degrees Celsius and 475 degrees Celsius.
2. The forming temperature of the Teflon tube should not exceed 475 degrees, and the mold should be heated to 150-200 degrees. The resistance of the pouring system to material flow should be small.
3. Polytetrafluoroethylene pipes used for high-temperature wire and cable insulation, anti-corrosion equipment, sealing materials, pump valve bushings, and chemical containers.
4. Teflon tubes are suitable for manufacturing corrosion-resistant parts, antifriction parts, sealing parts, insulation parts, and medical device parts.
5. Teflon pipes corrode due to molten material. Long term production requires chrome plating on molds.
Pressure resistance is an important parameter for the performance of Teflon tubes. The static pressure that a Teflon tube can withstand without plastic deformation on its waveform at room temperature is the pressure resistance of the tube, so it must withstand this pressure throughout the entire working process without plastic deformation. The pressure resistance of Teflon tubes actually belongs to the strength category of Teflon tubes. The key to calculation is stress analysis, which analyzes the stress on the walls of Teflon pipes. As long as the stress at the stress point on the wall of the Teflon tube does not exceed the yield strength of the material, the pressure it bears cannot reach its compressive strength. Under the same operating conditions, the same Teflon tube has better stability under external pressure than under internal pressure, so its pressure resistance under external pressure is higher than that under internal pressure.
With these characteristics, Teflon tubes can be widely used in fields such as aerospace, instrumentation, medical pharmaceuticals, electronic appliances, postal and telecommunications, petrochemical industry, metallurgical power, household appliances, lighting, etc.
